Resolved: Non working opener
- - Up and down limits were out of adjustment.
- - Roof was replaced recently and service walked me through resetting the limits.
- - It's back in operation now.
With help from Cust. Service I was able to resolve issue with garage door opener, thanks. Use customer service, they can usually walk you through most issues.
Somehow the up and down limits came out of adjustment, just had roof replaced, might have something to do with it, called service and they walked me through resetting the limits, back in operation now, thank you customer service
User's recommendation: Keep paperwork for unit, if I had it I would have been able to do it myself
No support for a commercial gates. Faulty product with no warranty support. I build large storage complexes with gate systems and overheard door openers.
- - Dealer/installer is out of business; warranty support unavailable.
- - Liftmaster won't deal with end users; no dealers arrange warranty replacements.
My dealer and installer is no longer is business. The company will not provide warranty support.
No alternative dealer in interested in ordering a warranty replacement as "there is no money in it" Liftmaster will not deal with end user.
I build large storage complexes with entry/exit gates and overheard door motors. I will not use Liftmaster equipment again as they do not stand behind their products.
How to keep garage door light off
I learned how to remove/turn off lighting for lift master garage door opener. And also how install well pad without reprogramming.
User's recommendation: Chose Lift Master for your garage door opener. And just for the record! I’m not a pissed consumer.

Verified ReviewerWhy can't we get support from Liftmaster?
- - Support is poor and agents are hard to understand.
- - Two emails promised callbacks, no follow-up.
- - MyQ lacks compatibility with current routers.
I have wasted days on the phone and on chat with your agents who know little about how MyQ works or are severely English-challenged and can't be understood on the phone. Get competent agents who can speak and understand English, then train them in how MyQ works or improve their support script.
I ask for a supervisor and am told I have to wait for a call back that may never come or have no idea when.
I don't exist for the convenience of Liftmaster.
No wonder supervisors are so busy... your first-level agents can't resolve the simplest problems.
You are so intent on adding features to MyQ that no one wants or needs, but you never bring MyQ software compatibility with current router/modem technology so our operators will connect with the current tech of router/modems. Don't buy Liftmaster products if you expect support after the sale.
All we need MyQ to do is tell us if we forgot to close the garage door. To *** with Amazon and home automation systems.
Just make MyQ work with current broadband tech because our MyQ devices won't connect to current router/modems because MyQ is 10 years behind the current specs and protocols.
I'm readt to trash mt TQO Liftmaster operators and replace them with another brand if that company will give me the illusion they want me as a customer because Liftmaster couldn't care less about its customers.
Sent TWO emails to LiftMaster support and received TWO replies that "we will contact you shortly". All I've heard from LiftMaster is NOTHING.
- Ok hardware
- Awful myq app incompetent support and inability to escalate the problem
Preferred solution: Competent support from an english speaking tech and an apology
User's recommendation: Don't buy Liftmaster products if you expect the stuff to work or if you expect support after the sale.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Can’t get a hold of Customer Service
Nothing. Keep trying.
Each time I call for assistance, the AI operator will regurgitate the same questions and I cant get to an actual person. This will go on for long periods of time
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Still relaying so much on AI technology

Verified ReviewerGarage Door Opener
I rate my experience as very good, inspite of the fact that I had difficulty understanding him, at times. He was definitely not located in the USA.
MyQ app latest version/ not working
- - The garage door works; MyQ app update made the unit incompatible and a new motor would be needed to use the app (Purple button).
We have a perfectly operating garage door. Was using the MyQ app to open/close door, to see all functions.
App updated last week and now is no longer compatible with our unit. (Purple button) only solution is to buy another motor in order to use the app fully. What a lousy decision on Liftmasters end to decide to make certain models that are older incompatible.
I will not be buying a new motor just to open and close my garage door, when all else remotes, keypad and wall mount still work. Poor job MyQ.
User's recommendation: MyQ is not inclusive
Frank helped program both door opener’s and remotes
Frank did excellent job helping me program both my garage doors and remotes. He was knowledgeable and professional
User's recommendation: Five stars Frank was very professional

Verified ReviewerNeeded dealer name
Very poor customer service line with robot answering; waste of time; no one answers their lines.
Very poorly run company!
User's recommendation: use competitive product that cares about the consumer
Garage door controlller would randomly chirp
Talked with an advisor and nothing really was changed. Going to continue to observe and will call a local garage door company for advice.

You have old tech. You also are probably incapable of telling a service rep what modem/router you have.
You need a third party to assist you in person and to pay them. I doubt the company will after ten years.
If you had taken the time to read my post you might have had a different reply. I have NEW TECH in newer and contemporary router/modems and my complaint with LiftMaster is that while they revel in adding new features to MyQ they have not revised MyQ to be compatible with the protocols and features of router/Modems manufactured in the last 5 years.
While MyQ devices have always been easy to setup in the past with any 2.4GHz WiFi NOW MyQ devices balk at connecting with router/modems that manage 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi themselves. Even when setting up a router/modem with separate SSID for 2.4 and 5 MyQ devices balk when they see the faintest 5GHz signal and won't connect to the 2.4GHz that is right there in the app setup with the unique 2.4GHz SSID and correct password. With more and more users migrating from DSL and cable to FIOS and 5G Home Internet these problems are more common because the new router/modems are designed to be plug-n-play and often don't provide features and settings to overcome the MyQ app shortcomings. IF and WHEN you get a MyQ operator to connect sooner or later it will go OFFLINE.
and that renders the MyQ app unreliable. PLUS the stupidity of having to change MyQ device settings with the app AND a ladder at the garage operator is unacceptable in today's marketplace. We should be able to change the MyQ device WiFi settings FROM THE APP. If you think LiftMaster service reps are competent ring one up on the phone.
IF you can understand the agent you will find they live off a dated incomplete support script and will stick you on hold trying to find something in their support database to answer your question. I can Google faster than they come back on the phone. In the beginning MyQ was a great idea. It let us check if we had forgotten to close the garage door.
Simple, elegant, and RELIABLE. Until LiftMaster spends the money to bring MyQ up to today's standards and protocols it is a waste of code.
